I went to Guatemala & El Salvador for a week.
Over the last 6 months I had collected a nice amount of PTO. I spoke to my dad, crossed my fingers & requested time off & by jove, they gave it to me: my first entire week of paid. time. off.
So off we flew, me, my younger sister Becky & my Dad. And what an excellent time we had!
I loved meeting aunts, uncles, cousins, second-cousins on my Dad's side that I had only seen through Facebook, or not at all. Oh boy are they amazing! They made my sister & I feel so welcome & at home. I really, truly & honestly did not want to leave. It was a pity that all I could do was to stumble & fumble through spanish words to express my gratitude to them. I hope they got the message though.
